Running out of time
Hi there! First off, I wanted to say thanks
for all the birthday wishes! The day was pretty low key- we all came
down with something last week and have been a bit sluggish around these
parts. Our 'fun' weekend plans were nearly foiled by Chris getting
called into work on Saturday night but alas, his shoot was cancelled
and good times were had by all. We went down to Orange County to have dinner with Heidi and Ben, an old high school friend who I have known forever. It was then that I first discovered that they think "America's Funniest Home Video's" is like the most hilarious thing on Television. Chris had to quote "The Castle" by saying (in his best Aussie accent) "The only thing better than America's Funniest Home Video's is The BEST OF America's funniest home video's." I think it's time to re-evaluate our so-called friendship. Anyway- dinner and dessert were delish! I mean, can you really go
wrong with something called "The Motherlode Cake?" 6 layers. Nay, I
say! Nay!
Earlier in the day Chris bought some brownies from the bakery
downstairs from the dance studio (he's been raving about them for
weeks and was so excited to bring them home for us to try.
"Can you
stop on your way home at the post office and mail those packages on the
front seat?" I ask.
"Sure." he says.
He comes home, grabs the
brownies....'um...where'd the brownies go???' Um, yeah... he 'mailed' (dropped them in the big blue box of death) at the post office with all my packages. Balls. We keep waiting
for the 'mysterious, unmarked brownie box' to show up on the news. I'm
sure they are dusting for fingerprints now.
So the winner- um, let me go random number generate that right now- one sec....

I worked all weekend
getting some custom orders done and am debating one last shop up date
on Thurs. before it closes down next week. I've got some things I've
been meaning to get in there- so we'll see. I'm not making any
promises! You guys posted some really great links of your fav. blogs- I
don't know why the links didn't work in the comments so on the next
post or two, I'll list them so you can just click from here to those
sites. Busy like a little bee over here (and no, the 'baby name'
conversation hasn't taken place yet!) Happy Monday!!

Hey, that's my comment! Does that mean I won? I never win anything so this is a pleasant suprise. Can't wait for the apron book...I have totally been in an apron making mood lately and am looking for some new patterns so this is perfect timing. Thanks so much and keep up the great work!

Andrea-
The timer was a birthday gift (cool, eh?) from Anthropologie.
Good Luck!

I hope this doesn't sound odd - but can you tell me where you got your timer? Mine just died and I haven't found a single one that I like. They all look so cheesy.
Best of luck to you! I bet the next couple of weeks fly by.

Wait, who won?
And, which dancer is your husband working with? Does he know anything about the Derek/Shannon showmance? (I am so into this show)

Thanks for the shout-out, although I have to say I'm disturbed to discover that AFV (as the insiders call it) could be a friendship deal-breaker. We had so much fun with you guys on Saturday--and the baby bath was a blast. We are looking forward to watching The Castle tomorrow, we already feel a kinship to the characters. Seacrest out.
