San Diego

Well, we finished off the weekend with a day trip down to San Diego. First stop, Old Town- which I've never been to before- but we had lots & lots of fun! Great little shops and great music! It was such a beautiful day and it was fun to be with the family. From  Old town we went up to La Jolla cove- which is a favorite past time of mine. The seals were out lounging on the beach and we couldn't help but to put our toes in the water! Henry is really loving playing in the sand and the texture on his fingers (we only had to pull sand out of his mouth once!) I think he's definately going to be a beach boy! Catalina

Today we drove down to San Pedro to catch the ferry to Catalina Island. It's been ages since I have been there and we had a terrific time. It started out as what looked to be a dreary day, but it was perfect. We decided to branch out and take a 2-hour tour out into the wilderness (in hopes of seeing a buffalo).

We took a 1953 Flexible Clipper bus which was just awesomer (is that even a word??) than awesome. We actually saw one of the 150 buffalo on the island which was very very cool. Fog Schmog Blog...

It was a gorgeous day here in West LA and so we decided to pack up dinner & eat it at the beach (Carol & Jim came into town today).. by the time we got to the beach about 15 minutes later, it was soo foggy-you  couldn't see 20 feet in front of you...

Anyway- we still had a great time and oddly enough the weather stayed pretty warm. Henry turned 11 months today and after a somewhat nightmarish week of trying to get him on a sleeping schedule, I think we have things worked out.

I love taking pictures of Chris & Henry- my two best guys. They are just darling together and Henry is just mad about his Dad. No one can get Henry to laugh harder than Chris. We are enjoying parenthood so much more than we ever thought imaginable, which is why we have a little announcement.. ha ha you wish.

Hope everyone has a great weekend- we'll be down in San Diego this weekend and are thinking of hitting Catalina on Saturday so we'll post later.

Birthday Weekend

Well, it was a fun and exciting birthday weekend (I can't believe I'm 30 YIKES!!!) which officially kicked off last Saturday. Some friends had me over for brunch, which was such fun. We went up to the recently opened Getty Villa in Malibu which was absolutely incredible. We had such a wonderful day wandering around the grounds.

   

 

We went to dinner that night and there was a little surprise party waiting for me when we got back which was so fun...not so fun was the "older than dirt" get-up that made it's way onto my head. Friends brought over some beautiful flowers and it was such a great day. Easter-Sunday was my actual birthday and Chris spoiled me with some great things from L'Occitane (the best)!  

 

We took a little family Easter photo outside- as it's our FIRST Easter as a little family!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!

I love the holidays.. not only is it Easter, but I'm turning 30! Seems like 30 is not as old as I used to think it was!
