Congratulations to Julie, who very generously, was the highest bidder at $1,000 for the sweet Nie
Doll. If you read the comments on the doll post, there were a lot of
opinions on what people thought Christine should do in regards to her
dolls. I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in.Handemade is wonderful.
I love that this doll is one of a kind. I love that it is not mass
produced, no one in the world will have a doll just like this one. I
love that the owners of this doll will know and appreciate how much
time and effort went into her. I hope that when they look at her, they
will remember the great cause from which she came. This cause that has
brought thousands together to rally and support and love and pray for
those sweet Nielsons. I think that's pretty special.
The framed print is just a teaser of what Christine is donating for tomorrow's shop update. There will only be a few of these..I'm just sayin'. I'm hoping to get a mosaic up tonight of what you can expect to see tomorrow. Rest
assured there is still a ton of great stuff left: jewelry, tote's,
prints, children's stuff... all very cool. There is no rhyme or reason
as to what has been listed up to this this point. I basically plop meself onto the couch and grab whatever is on top of the pile and go from there. As of late, candy corn and CFDC as we call it, are on the menu. It's the late night snack of
champions. I can't drink caffeine after 3 or I'll never fall asleep.
What's happened to me? I'm getting old. Oh CFDC= caffeine free diet coke.
Mom called today:
"I wish I could be there to help you out with all of this" she said.
"I know, me, too."
"I should just jump in the car and come down" she says
"So what's stopping you? FOR THE LOVE OF NIE, come and help me!"
And
2 hours later, her bags were packed and she hit the road. Currently,
she's probably somewhere near Fillmore, UT (hey, don't forget to stop
and get a potato log!!) It's about a 10 hour drive, so with a stop over
1/2 way, she's set to arrive early afternoon tomorrow. I can't wait. I
really need her help.
I
just wanted to say thank you for supporting this sale, and supporting
all the artists who have donated. I know a lot of them were worried
that their items wouldn't sell (can you imagine?? everything is so
cool!) To have nearly everything sell out this morning in just under 9
minutes left me really choked up (and not because someone beat me to
what I wanted.) I just stared at the screen, refreshing, refreshing,
tears were welling, welling. I just know your support means so much to
the family. Thank you for being here and cheering from the sidelines.
JULIE, PLEASE SEND YOUR DONATION DIRECTLY TO THEIR FUND AND E-MAIL ME YOUR RECEIPT. I'LL SHIP THE DOLL ASAP.
xoxo
